The Bible has 31,102 verses, and plenty of them are shipping manifests, land surveys, and family trees — important, but not what you're hoping for when you ask for a random Bible verse. We read through the whole counsel of Scripture and kept 269 passages that stand on their own: promises, comforts, commands, and prayers from Genesis to Revelation.
